Granting authorization to entities to act as Technical Centers to carry out technical interventions on tachographs.

What documents do I need?
1. New centers seeking authorization must submit an application using the official form, accompanied by the following documentation:
- Registration as a vehicle manufacturer or bus bodybuilder, or registration in the Integrated Industrial Registry (Art. 5.1).
- Declaration that the managing partners and staff are not involved in road transport activities (Art. 3).
- Declaration that the technical center meets all the technical requirements for authorization, as set out in Annex I of Royal Decree 125/2017.
- Professional qualification certificates for technical managers and technicians (Art. 6).
- Training certificates for technical managers and/or technicians on staff (Art. 6).
- Valid calibration certificate(s) for measuring equipment, issued by a competent body (Art. 9.3, paragraph 4).
- For technical centers of types III, IV, or V, certification in accordance with the current UNE 66102 standard (Art. 8). For technical centers of types I or II, a valid certificate of conformity of production, including activities related to tachographs, or a valid certificate in accordance with standard UNE 66102.
- Where applicable, for technical centers III or IV, documentation confirming that certification in accordance with UNE 66102 is being processed (Art. 9.3, paragraph 5).
2. Existing centers, established before the entry into force of Royal Decree 125/2017, must submit a declaration of compliance with the requirements of Royal Decree 125/2017 to operate as a technical center.
3. Annually, all technical centers must submit a notification indicating that they continue to meet the requirements to operate.
