Artisanal food register: registration, modification and deregistration

Purpose:

The Castilla y León Artisan Food Register will include artisan companies that have been registered in the artisan company register. Only craft businesses entered in the register will be entitled to use the terms and labels identifying craft food products on their labelling and advertising.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR IT?

CRAFT COMPANIES that produce and/or sell craft products.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?

Before applying for registration in the Castilla y León Artisan Food Register, the company must meet the following requirements:

  1. Both the establishment and the registered office of the artisan company must be located in the territory of the Community of Castilla y León.
  2. Regarding the establishment and its facilities:
    a) Except in the cases mentioned in letter b), the establishment and its installations must be registered in the section of the Single Industrial Register, managed by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Register of Agricultural Industries).
    b) Fruit and vegetable products which are not entered in the register referred to in point (a) must be entered in the register of establishments and/or activities eligible for listing, managed by the corresponding Territorial Agriculture and Livestock Service, in accordance with the terms laid down in the provisions implementing this Decree, in the case of artisan companies that do not use outside labour other than family members to the first and second degree of consanguinity or affinity, do not have industrial facilities for handling the products or, due to their size, are not required to be entered in the Register of Agricultural Industries.
    c) They must always have the corresponding operating health authorisation and, if applicable, entry in the health register.
    d) They must have the corresponding opening licence or authorisation to commence activity.

What documents do I need?

Companies must submit a standard application form in accordance with the model in Annex 2 (Order AYG/654/2008 BOCyL 22-04-08).

WHAT TIME DO I HAVE TO ASK?

Open and permanent.

DEADLINE FOR RESOLUTION:

  • 6 MONTHS from the date the application is received by the competent body for processing..

NOTIFICATIONS:

  • By post at the address of the person concerned or at the place indicated by him/her for the purpose of notifications.

APPLICABLE LEGISLATION:

  • DECREE 53/2007, of 24 May 2007, regulating Food Crafts in the Community of Castilla y León (BOCyL 30-05-2007)
  • ORDER AYG/654/2008, of 18 April, which implements Decree 53/2007, of 24 May, which regulates food craftsmanship in the Community of Castilla y León (BOCyL 22-04-2008)

Craft enterprise certificate:

  • Once registration has been completed, the competent authority shall issue a certificate of registration containing the following information:
    a) Craft enterprise code.
    b) Name or company name of the company.
    c) Craft and/or cottage industry products obtained by the craft enterprise.
    d) Date of registration in the RAACyL.
    e) Number of the Register of Agricultural Industries or, where applicable, number of the SH-REACCyL.
  • This certificate must be displayed in the points of sale operated by the craft enterprise in a place where it is visible to the public.

Content of the Register:

  • The RAACyL shall contain the following details of the craft enterprise:
    a) Craft enterprise code.
    b) Name or business name of the craft enterprise.
    c) NIF/CIF.
    d) Address of the craft enterprise.
    e) Website (if available).
    f) Sector/s.
    g) Artisan and/or home-made artisan products that it produces.

Communications from artisan companies.

  • The artisan company must notify the control authority of any change that entails a modification of the conditions that led to its registration in the Castilla y León Artisan Food Register within 10 working days of their occurrence and in accordance with the model in Annex 2 (Order AYG/654/2008 BOCyL 22-04-08)

Steps for electronic processing (online):

  1. Provide an  electronic certificate and  technical requirements.
  2. Access the processing, being able to make use of three possible different means, where appropriate::
    1. Through an Application: Authenticate (electronic certificate, DNIe, Cl@veFirma, Educa account, etc.), select the procedure, fill in the required fields and follow the instructions on the screen..
    2. By means of an Online PDF Form  ( Instructions for carrying out electronic procedures ) by opening the PDF directly with Adobe Acrobat Reader or saving it, filling in the required fields and sending through  Electronic Administration Application
    3. Via Web Form: Fill in the required fields for each section, click "Review" and make the appropriate corrections, if applicable, and then click on the electronic processing option ("Submit/Send/Save")..
  3. Check the , attach documentation, sign and electronically record all documentation..
  4. Download proof of presentation.
