Declaration of responsibility of mechanical workshops for the repair of motor vehicles

What documents do I need?

You must submit a responsible declaration and proof of payment of fees.

On the other hand, there are a series of Documentation that you must have and requirements that you must comply with and that you do not need to present with the responsible declaration but that you will provide to the competent authority when required to do so in the exercise of its inspection and control powers.

1. Document identifying the mechanical workshop, which in the case of a legal entity must be legally constituted.
2. Technical project(s) of the installations subject to compliance with safety regulations if these are required, consisting of reports, plans and budgets drawn up and signed by competent technicians.
3. Technical study which shall include, at least, a detailed list of the tools, equipment and tools available, in accordance with the branches of activity to be carried out, as well as a detailed list of the different jobs and services that the workshop will be able to provide.
4. Written authorisation from the national manufacturer, or from the legal representative of the foreign manufacturer, in the case of the ‘official brand workshops’ referred to in article 3.1.b).
5. To have the necessary technical means to carry out their activity in safe conditions, which must be listed in the technical studies. The instruments, apparatus, means and measuring systems necessary to carry out repairs shall be subject to the specific State metrological control regulations applicable to them, and must be calibrated and verified at the intervals established therein.

FEES: The corresponding fee for industry and energy (Code 308.1 ‘Registration of industrial establishments and control of industries’) must be paid, as set out in the Annual Order approving the publication of the rates of the fees in force must be paid.

NOTIFICATIONS:

• By Postal Mail at the address of the interested party.
• Electronic notification by appearance, by means of a notice via the e-mail address included in the application. This notice shall not have the effect of a notification until the interested party accesses the content of the notification in the NOTI notification system.
