SDG CODE: Section H3, Subsection Connection to water services
This page aims to provide information on the connection to the water service/supply in the territorial scope of Castilla y León, as well as to explain other related contents.
In general, installations consuming drinking water for human consumption can be supplied:
- From the municipal public water distribution network, managed by the municipality or under concession.
- From a well/cistern and/or private distribution network, in the case of private housing developments/industrial estates.
Water-consuming installations, whether they are inside a home, commercial premises, service premises, industry, etc., must be carried out by an installation company. In domestic installations (for a house, small business, etc.), the intervention of an installation company is sufficient, but in medium/large installations, the intervention of a technical designer and project manager is also required.
Once the installations have been executed, the installation company will register them in the Register of the competent industry bodies of the Autonomous Community, by presenting the corresponding technical documentation, including the water installation certificate (bulletin), which accredits compliance with the industrial safety regulations applicable to the installation.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The owner of the receiving installation (owner/tenant), in order to contract the service/supply with the City Council/water concessionary company in a specific municipality, must provide the following documentation required for the water supply contract:

- Address of the supply point.
