SDG CODE: Section H3, Subsection Connection to gas services
This page aims to provide information on the connection to the gas service/supply in the territory of Castilla y León, as well as explaining other related contents.
In general, gas consumer/receiver installations can be supplied in several ways:
- Directly from a gas pipeline, for large consumers (direct lines and distribution networks).
- From a piped natural gas network, connected to a pipeline.
- From a piped natural gas network, from LNG plants, in municipalities where there are no gas pipelines nearby.
- From a piped propane gas network, in small municipalities where there are no nearby gas pipelines.
- From a tank attached to the consumer/receiver installation, normally where there is no piped network.
- Without connection to the grid, (from propane or butane cylinders).
Gas consumer/receiver installations, whether they are inside a home, commercial premises, service premises, industry, etc., must be carried out by an installation company. In domestic installations (for a house, small business, etc.), the intervention of an installation company is sufficient, but in medium/large installations, the intervention of a technical designer and project manager is also required.
Once the installations have been executed, the installation company will register them in the Register of the competent industry bodies of the Autonomous Community, by presenting the corresponding technical documentation, including the individual receiving installation certificate (IRI) and, where applicable, the common receiving installation certificate (IRC), which accredits compliance with the industrial safety regulations applicable to the installation.
Gas consumer/receiver installations in industries connected via direct lines must be carried out by the natural gas distribution/transport company, and require administrative authorisation, project approval and operating authorisation.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
he owner of the receiving installation (owner/tenant), in order to contract the service/supply with a gas supply company, must provide the following documentation required for the gas registration:
- Name, surnames and DNI/NIE/Passport of the contract holder.
- Address of the supply point and CUPS code of the gas.
- Copy of the title deed of the property or rental contract.
- Individual Receiving Installation Certificate (IRI) and, if applicable, the other certificate (IRC).
- If the gas supply is for heating, certificate of the thermal installation.
- The holder's bank account for direct debit payment.
- And to assume the registration fees, depending on the tariff and connection fees.
