OBJECT::

To call for applications, on a competitive basis, for study grants aimed at undergraduate and master's degree students in the universities of the Community during the 2025-2026 academic year in the following modalities:

Academic achievement for students in their second and subsequent years of official undergraduate university programmes and for those enrolled in official master's degree programmes.

Income for students in all years of official undergraduate university programmes.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Students enrolled in official undergraduate and master's degree programmes at universities in Castile and León during the 2025-2026 academic year.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • a) Be enrolled at a public or private university in Castile and León during the 2025-2026 academic year.
  • b) Undertake studies leading to the award of official bachelor's or master's degrees.
  • c) Not be in possession of, nor meet the legal requirements for obtaining, a degree of the same or higher level as that corresponding to the official university studies for which the grant is being applied for. Notwithstanding the provisions of this paragraph c), those in possession of an official bachelor's degree that has been assigned to level 3 (master's degree) of the Spanish Framework of Qualifications for Higher Education (MECES), or in possession of an official degree of architect, engineer, graduate, technical architect, technical engineer or diploma holder that has been assigned to level 3 (master's degree) of the MECES, may be beneficiaries of aid to study official university courses leading to the award of a university master's degree.
  • d) Having been a beneficiary of the enrolment grant for the academic year 2025- 2026, for students studying post-compulsory studies, announced by the Resolution of 18 March 2025, of the Secretary of State for Education.
    Students applying for these grants must comply with the requirement of being registered as a resident in a municipality in Castilla y León by the deadline for submitting applications, as established in section nine, and undertake to maintain compliance with this requirement during the period of time inherent to the recognition of the right to receive the grant.

WHAT IS THE GRANT FOR?:

The grants awarded include the following categories:

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Income: for students in all academic years.

Academic Achievement: For students in 2nd and subsequent years who have enrolled for 60 or more credits, or who, having enrolled for fewer than 60 credits, enrol for all the credits remaining to complete their degree.

Both grants can be applied for at the same time, in the same application.

MASTER'S DEGREE STUDENTS

Academic Achievement: For Master's Degree students enrolled in: - 60 or more credits (60 or 120 credit syllabus).

- 60 or more credits in the first year and 30 or more credits in the second year (90-credit syllabus).

- When, by virtue of the university's own regulations, the number of credits in which all students can be enrolled is limited, students must be enrolled in all the credits in which it is possible for them to be enrolled.

Amount:

  • For the ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT modality, the aid for each beneficiary may not be, in any case, less than one euro (€1) or more than twenty euros (€20) per credit passed in the academic year 2024/2025.
  • For the INCOME modality, the aid for each beneficiary may not be less than one hundred euros (€100) or more than six hundred euros (€600).

WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED?

The application must be completed using the form ACCESSIBLE THROUGH THE COMPUTER APPLICATION and must be addressed to the Regional Minister of Education.

The application must include a declaration of acceptance of the terms and conditions and of the different points required.

Any changes that may occur in the content of the declarations made up until the time the payment proposal is made must be communicated immediately to the Directorate of Universities and Research.

In the event that the interested party submits several applications, only the last of the applications submitted within the deadline will be taken into account.

Undergraduate students may apply for both types of assistance on the same application form.

No documentation is required. Documentation must only be provided if expressly requested in the application.

University Master's students who completed their undergraduate studies at a university outside Castile and León: Certificate issued by the university outside Castile and León where the undergraduate studies that gave access to the Master's degree were completed, stating the credits passed in the final year of those undergraduate studies.

The maximum period for deciding and publishing the award decision shall be 6 MONTHS from the day following the deadline for submitting applications. If no express decision has been published by the end of this period, applications may be considered REJECTED. The decision will be published in the Official Gazette of Castile and León and will be advertised on the Castile and León Regional Government's Education Portal (http://www.educa.jcyl.es) for a period of not less than one month from the date of publication.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Correction

  • Once the application submission period has ended, applicants will be required to correct any errors and/or submit the required documents within 10 WORKING DAYS. Failure to do so will result in their application being deemed withdrawn, subject to a prior decision. For this purpose, they may access the online form entitled ‘Correction’.
  • These requirements will be published in the Official Gazette of Castile and León.

Compatibility

  • The aid granted shall be compatible with other aid, subsidies, income or resources for the same purpose from any public or private, national or international administrations or entities, without the total amount subsidised in any case, either individually or in conjunction with others, exceeding the cost of the subsidised activity.

Tax classification of the aid

  • The aid shall not be subject to personal income tax, in accordance with the provisions of Article 7.j) of Law 35/2006, of 28 November, on personal income tax and partially amending the laws on corporation tax, non-resident income tax and wealth tax.

Modification of the grant decision

  • Any alteration in the conditions taken into account for the granting of the aid may give rise to a modification of the grant decision, without, in any case, increasing the amount of the subsidy granted or altering its purpose.
