Purpose:
Access to and operation of the business by owners of tourist accommodation establishments (VUTs); as well as changes of ownership, modification of data, cessation of activity, and incorporation of data into ongoing procedures.
Tourist accommodations are dwellings (apartments, houses, bungalows, chalets, or other similar properties) furnished and equipped for immediate, temporary rental, marketed or promoted primarily through tourist channels, and rented for profit.
Tourist accommodations constitute a single unit that is rented to third parties in its entirety or by the stay. Under no circumstances may the owner share the property with the tourist.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?
The general requirements, in accordance with Articles 7 to 12 of Decree 3/2017 of February 16, are as follows:
What documents do I need?
1.- Access to and operation of the activity: Owners of accommodation establishments in the form of tourist accommodation must submit the form called Responsible Declaration of Tourist Accommodation, before the start of the activity, duly completed and addressed to the Tourism Section of the province where the establishment is located, in the following cases:
- Start of operations.
- Change of ownership.
2.- Modification of data and cessation of activity: Owners of tourist accommodation establishments must submit the form entitled "Notification Regarding Modifications and Cessation of Activity," duly completed and addressed to the Tourism Section of the province where the establishment is located, in the following cases:
Modification of details.
Cessation of activity.
Cessation due to change of ownership.
3.- Incorporating data or documents: Owners of accommodation establishments in the form of tourist accommodation must submit the form Incorporation of data or documents to an administrative procedure already initiated, in the case of correction of deficiencies, incorporation of new documentation to the procedure initiated, among others, duly completed and addressed to the Tourism Section of the province where the establishment is located.

ACCESS TO AND OPERATION OF THE BUSINESS:
• The declaration must always be submitted before the business begins. (Art. 21.1 Law 14/2010, of December 9).
• In the case of a change of ownership, the new owner must submit a new declaration of responsibility within one month, always before the business begins. (Art. 21.1 Law 14/2010, of December 9, and Art. 17 of Decree 3/2017, of February 16).
NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES TO INFORMATION AND CESSATION OF BUSINESS (ART. 17 OF DECREE 3/2017, OF FEBRUARY 16):
• Any changes to the information included in the declaration of responsibility and in the supporting documents, as well as the cessation of business or cessation due to a change of ownership, must be reported within one month of the change occurring.

- By Postal Mail at the address of the interested party.
- Electronic notification by appearance, by means of a notice via the e-mail address included in the application. This notice shall not have the effect of a notification until the interested party accesses the content of the notification in the
NOTI
notification system.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- They will be registered automatically in the Tourism Registry.
- It is mandatory to display, next to the main entrance of the tourist accommodation, a standardized plaque bearing the distinctive sign as per the annex.
- Upon check-in, tourists must be given an information sheet, either according to the template determined by the owner or the attached template.
- Information for tourists must be posted on a notice board or similar medium.
- Prices must be listed in a price list; the following may serve as a template.
- Owners of tourist accommodation establishments may draw up internal regulations, which will include, among other aspects, the prohibitions for users referred to in Article 27 of Decree 3/2017, of February 16, which regulates tourist accommodation establishments in the Community of Castile and León; the proper use of the equipment made available to tourists; guidelines for the rational use of resources; and other rules for the use and occupancy of common areas and facilities to ensure harmonious coexistence among users. It will also include the rules governing admission to and stay at the establishment, which may not, under any circumstances, be discriminatory on the grounds of birth, race, sex, religion, opinion, or any other personal or social condition or circumstance.
- Accommodation establishments in the form of tourist accommodation located in Castilla y León are required to have complaint forms in each of their establishments (which can be downloaded from the link available in the "Related Content" section) to make them available to tourists when they require them, and they will be provided with the information necessary to complete them.
- In advertising carried out by any means, in marketing, correspondence and other documentation of accommodation establishments in the form of tourist accommodation, the Tourism Registry number of Castilla y León, as well as the conditions on the reservation system, must be indicated in a way that does not cause confusion, and no different name or indications may be used..
- Accommodation in the form of tourist housing is required to have a documentary record for the control of tourist entries and exits in accordance with current regulations on citizen security and must contact the National Police or the Civil Guard of the corresponding locality.
