Description:

DATE OF UPDATE: 2024/11/26

SDG CODE: Section H3, Subsection Connection to electricity services

This page aims to provide information on the connection to the electricity service/supply in the territory of Castilla y León, as well as explaining other related contents.

In general, electricity consuming/receiving installations can be supplied in several ways:

  • Directly from a high voltage network, for large industrial, commercial consumers.
  • From a low voltage distribution network installed in the street (overhead or underground).
  • From a production installation for self-consumption or complementary to the distribution network.

Installations that consume/receive electricity, whether it is an installation in a home, commercial premises, services, industry, etc., must be carried out by an installation company. In domestic installations (for a house, small business, etc.), the intervention of an installation company is sufficient, but in medium/large installations, the intervention of a technical designer and project manager is also required.

Once the installations have been executed, the installation company will register them in the Register of the competent industry bodies of the Autonomous Community, by presenting the corresponding technical documentation, including the installation certificate, known as the electrical bulletin, which accredits compliance with the industrial safety regulations applicable to the installation.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The owner of the receiving installation (owner/tenant), in order to contract the service/supply with an electricity supply company, must provide the following necessary documentation:

  • Name, surnames and DNI/NIE/Passport of the contract holder.
  • Address of the supply point and its CUPS code.
  • Copy of the title deed of the property or rental contract.
  • Certificate of the electrical installation (bulletin).
  • If the electricity supply is for heating, certificate of the thermal installation.
  • Bank account of the owner for direct debit payment.
  • And to assume the registration fees, depending on the tariff and connection fees.
