Higher artistic education in Castilla y León.

  • The aim of higher artistic education is to provide students with quality artistic training and to guarantee the qualification of future professionals in music, drama, plastic arts, design and the conservation and restoration of cultural assets.
  • In Castilla y León it is possible to study higher artistic education in Music, Dramatic Art, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, Design and Plastic Arts (Glass), which lead to the corresponding Bachelor's Degree in higher artistic education, equivalent to a university degree.
  • Likewise, in Castile and Leon, two Masters in artistic education can be taken, which are equivalent to a university Master's degree: Master in Artistic Education in Musical Performance, at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Castilla y León (Salamanca); and Master in Artistic Education: Contemporary Thought and Scenic Creation, at the High School of Dramatic Art of Castilla y León (Valladolid).

Higher vocational training in Castilla y León.

  • Vocational training courses are organised into intermediate and higher level training cycles, grouped into professional families. Intermediate vocational training cycles are taken at the end of compulsory secondary education and higher vocational training cycles follow on from the baccalaureate.
  • The training cycles are structured in professional modules made up of theoretical-practical areas of knowledge; depending on their nature, they may or may not be associated with units of competence of the National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications.
  • The higher level training cycles established in the development of the Organic Law on Education incorporate a professional project module to be carried out during the last period of the training cycle.

  • They are structured in two grades: Intermediate Grade (which in turn has two cycles or levels) and Higher Grade, with only the latter being higher education. And they are organised on the basis of sporting modalities and, where appropriate, their specialities.
  • On passing the higher level sports education, the title of Higher Sports Technician is obtained in the corresponding sports modality or speciality.
  • The Higher Sports Technician qualification allows direct access to the university studies that are determined, taking into account the studies completed.
