EDUCATION VOCATIONAL TRAINING (FP).

Vocational training comprises the set of training actions that enable the qualified performance of the different professions, access to employment and active participation in social, cultural and economic life. It includes initial vocational training, actions for the insertion and reintegration of workers into the labour market, as well as those aimed at continuous training in companies, which allow for the acquisition and permanent updating of professional skills.

The purpose of Vocational Training, in the educational system, is to prepare students for activity in a professional field and to facilitate their adaptation to the changes in the labour market that may occur throughout their lives, to contribute to their personal development and to the exercise of democratic and peaceful citizenship, and to enable their progression in the educational system, within the framework of lifelong learning.

Vocational training in the education system comprises basic, intermediate and higher level training cycles, as well as specialisation courses. All of them will have a modular organisation, of variable duration, which integrates the theoretical and practical contents appropriate to the different professional fields.
