Access and operation of tourist camping activity

Purpose:
Access to and operation of the activity by the owners of accommodation establishments in the camping modality; as well as changes of ownership, modification of data, cessation of activity, and incorporation of data in procedures already initiated.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?
- The general requirements are in accordance with Articles 12 to 27 of Decree 9/2017, of June 15, which regulates camping establishments in the Community of Castile and León.
- And the requirements by category are set out in Articles 28 to 31 of Decree 9/2017, of June 15.
What documents do I need?
1.- Access to and exercise of the activity: Owners of camping establishments must submit the form entitled "Declaration of Responsibility for Tourist Camping" before commencing operations. This form must be duly completed and addressed to the Tourism Section of the province where the establishment is located, in the following cases:
- Start of operations. The box "1-I declare under my responsibility" must always be checked.
- Change of ownership.
- The section "1-I declare under my responsibility" must be checked in the following cases:
When the camping establishment was registered in the Tourism Registry of Castile and León before July 9, 2017, and changes are made to its category, or substantial renovation, expansion, or rehabilitation work is carried out.
When the campsite is registered in the Tourism Registry of Castile and León on or after July 9, 2017.
- Section “2-I declare under my responsibility” must be checked when the campsite is registered in the Tourism Registry of Castile and León before July 9, 2017, and is not included in the cases of the previous section.
2.- Modification of data and cessation of activity: Owners of campsites must submit the form entitled "Notification Regarding the Modification and Cessation of Tourist Camping Activity," duly completed and addressed to the Tourism Department of the province where the establishment is located, in the following cases:
- Any modification of the information included in the declaration of responsibility and in the documents provided, as well as the cessation of activity or cessation due to a change of ownership.
- When substantial modifications or renovations are carried out that may affect the category of the campsite.
3.- Incorporating data or documents: Owners of camping accommodation establishments must submit the form "Incorporation of data or documents to an already initiated administrative procedure, in the event of correction of deficiencies, incorporation of new documentation to the initiated procedure, among others", duly completed and addressed to the Tourism Section of the province where the establishment is located.
WHAT TIME DO I HAVE TO ASK?
ACCESS TO AND OPERATION OF THE ACTIVITY
■ The declaration must always be submitted before the start of the activity.
■ In the case of a change of ownership, the new owner must submit a new declaration of responsibility within ONE MONTH, always before the start of the activity.
NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES TO INFORMATION AND CESSATION OF ACTIVITY
■ Any changes to the information included in the declaration of responsibility and in the supporting documents, as well as the cessation of the activity or cessation due to a change of ownership, must be notified within ONE MONTH of the change occurring.
■ Any substantial modifications or renovations that may affect the campsite's category must be notified before the establishment reopens or is recategorized.
NOTIFICATIONS:
• By post to the address of the interested party or to the location indicated for notification purposes.
• Electronic notification, via email to the address provided in the application. Access the content of the notification in the NOTI notification system.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- They will be registered automatically in the Tourism Registry.
- It is mandatory to display the distinctive sign accrediting the establishment's category, as listed in the Annex to Decree 9/2017 of June 15, on the exterior, next to the main entrance.

- When registering a tourist, they must be given an information sheet, either according to the model determined by the owner or the attached model.

- Information for tourists must be posted on a notice board installed at the campsite reception or on a similar medium.
- Prices must be listed in a price list; the attached model may be used.

- The owners of campsites may draw up internal regulations, which shall include, among other aspects, the conditions for admission, stay, and, where applicable, expulsion of users, with the assistance of law enforcement agencies if necessary; the rules of conduct and operation (which may in no case be discriminatory), regulating the possible use of fire, the presence of pets, and waste collection; the rules governing the stay and use of the facilities by people not staying at the campsite; the opening period and hours of the campsite's restaurants and shops, as well as everything that allows and facilitates the normal development of camping and the use of the campsite's services.
- In all advertising, marketing materials, correspondence, invoices, and other documentation for camping accommodations, the establishment's category must be clearly indicated in a way that avoids confusion. No other names or designations may be used. The Tourism Registry number of Castile and León must also be included. Furthermore, the terms and conditions regarding reservations and the opening period must be clearly stated.
- Camping establishments located in Castile and León are required to have complaint forms available at each of their premises (which can be downloaded from the link in the "Related Content" section) for tourists upon request. Tourists must also be provided with the necessary information to complete these forms.

- In all advertising, marketing materials, correspondence, invoices, and other documentation for camping accommodations, the registration number in the Tourism Registry of Castile and León must be indicated.
- At camping accommodations, the entry and exit of tourists will be monitored in accordance with current regulations.
