Concession for the mining of resources in sections (C) and (D)

Purpose:
Obtaining a Concession for the exploitation of mineral resources in Sections C) and D).
SECTION C: Section C includes all mineral deposits and other ecological resources that are not classified in sections A and B and are subject to exploitation or use in accordance with the Mining Law. Geothermal resources, included in this section, are those geological resources which, due to their temperature, can be used, among other things, to produce energy, especially thermal energy, by means of fluids. Thermal waters are excluded.
SECTION D: Coals, radioactive minerals, geothermal resources, bituminous rocks and any other mineral deposits or geological resources of energy interest that the government agrees to include.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR IT?
Any natural or legal person who meets the requirements.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?
- Sufficient economic and financial, technical and professional solvency.
- In the case of derived exploitation concessions, to be the holder of the Research Permit.
What documents do I need?
Application on a standard form, accompanied by the following documentation:
- Proof of representation of the interested party.
- In the case of companies: Deed of incorporation, articles of association and accreditation of representation.
- Proof of payment of the fee.
IN THE CASE OF DIRECT AWARD:
- Location, boundaries and extent of the land being applied for
- Name of the concession and identification of the mineral resource or resources which are the subject of the claim
- Technical report justifying the appropriateness of the application as a direct concession.
Additional documentation (Deadline 60 days from the date of notification of the Resolution of Admission for processing):
- Definitive designation of the land requested
- Feasibility study and project for the use of the resource or resources in question, signed by a qualified technician.
- Economic study of financing and guarantees offered regarding its viability.
- Document on health and safety.
- Self-protection Plan
- Plan for the restoration of the natural area affected by the mining works.
- Environmental impact study, if applicable.
- Impact Assessment Report on the Natura 2000 Network, if no environmental impact assessment is required.
IN THE CASE OF A CONCESSION DERIVED FROM A RESEARCH PERMIT:
- Designation of the land requested, which in all cases must be included within the land granted for the Research Permit.
Additional documentation (Maximum period of 3 months)
- Detailed report on the geological nature of the deposit, investigations carried out, results obtained, resources and reserves, signed by the competent official.
- Feasibility study and project for the exploitation of the resource or resources in question, signed by a qualified technician.
- Document on health and safety.
- Self-protection Plan
- Plan for the restoration of the natural area affected by the mining works.
- Environmental impact study, if applicable.
- Impact Assessment Report on the Natura 2000 Network, if no environmental impact assessment is required.
